Position Overview


The Finance Business Partner is a key strategic role within the finance team, responsible for providing financial insight, analysis, and guidance to support decision-making across the organization. This role bridges the gap between finance and operational teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.

  • Reporting to the Regional CFO Asia
  • Work closely to Regional and Group Finance (based in Denmark) and SGL stakeholders to ensure company’s best accounting practices


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Develop, analyze, and present financial forecasts, budgets, and reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis to monitor performance against budget and provide actionable insights.
  • Support strategic planning processes with financial data and trend analysis.
  • Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with department heads and operational teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing financial guidance and influencing decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to foster collaboration and understanding of financial impacts.
  • Performance Management
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to drive business improvements.
  • Identify areas of financial risk and opportunity within the business.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize financial performance and cost management.
  • Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
  • Assist in audit processes and provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial management and reporting.
  • Implement tools and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance.


Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering roles.
  • Experience with AS400 and D365FO is preferred but not a requirement.
  • Experience in Freight Forwarding
