A Waitress / Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a restaurant setting. This includes greeting and seating guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, handling payments, and collaborating with the kitchen and staff. They are the primary point of contact for customers, playing a key role in creating a positive dining experience. 

To succeed as a waitress, key requirements include strong customer service skills, effective communication, the ability to multitask and work under pressure, and a positive attitude. While formal education isn't always needed, experience in a customer service role is often preferred.
