  • Summary:
  • The Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial aspects of our clients' accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while adhering to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). You will collaborate closely with the Accounting Director based in the US, communicating effectively to understand client needs and deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Invoice Management: Daily review and approval of invoices initially recorded by the Outsourced Accounting Team. Ensuring invoices are recorded to proper stores and with proper GL codes. Facilitates vendors payment through check or ACH. Attend to vendor queries and suggests best practices related to accounts payable process.
  2. Weekly Reporting: Prepare weekly financial reports needed by the management for decision making such as weekly cash forecast, vendor aging reports and others.
  3. Monthly Financial Close: Support the Accounting Director in leading an efficient and effective period close process. Ensure that closing checklist are observed and tasks are delivered on a timely manner.
  4. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow in accordance with US GAAP. Prepare ad-hoc reports as required by the Client.
  5. Review Deliverables of Outsourced Accounting: Work and collaborate with the Outsourced Accounting Team and review the deliverables sent by them. Supporting them by providing request in daily and monthly performance of work. Providing review notes and suggesting best practices to align with the Clients internal controls and procedures.
  6. Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain movement in financial statements from period to period as well as budget variances and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial goals are met.
  7. Process Documentation: Prepares documentation of the standard policies and procedures of the Company. This includes determination and implementation of internal controls such as segregation of duties and check and balance culture related to Financial Accounting and Reporting.
  8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and management, to align financial goals with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 7-10 years of experience in general account and financial reporting, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, including experience with financial software and tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (specially MS Excel), including creation of graphs and charts.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations (US GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and ethics in financial reporting.
  • Applicant must be willing to work night shift from 9PM to 6AM Monday to Friday (PH Time) and preferably work onsite in Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
  • Work from home set up can be considered depending on candidate’s work area condition.
