The Budget Specialist will play a critical role in managing, analyzing and optimizing our budgetary processes. This position requires a thorough understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and effective budget management.
A. Budget Development and Management
1. Develop, implement, and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with department heads.
2. Prepare detailed budget reports, forecasts and variance analyses.
3. Ensure alignment of budget allocations with organizational goals and financial guidelines.
B. Financial Analysis
1. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
2. Conduct regular reviews of budget performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
3. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
C. Reporting and Documentation
1. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
2. Maintain accurate and organized budget records and documentation.
3. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
D. Collaboration and Support
1. Work closely with various departments to gather budgetary information and provide guidance on budget preparation and management.
2. Assists in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems.
3. Provide training and support to staff on budget-related matters.
E. Continuous Improvement
1. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of budget management.
2. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in financial management and budgeting.
F. Others
1. Monitoring and analyzes project obligations and commitments.
2. Monitoring and coordination of Liability Confirmation Letters to Vendors or Suppliers.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Fresh graduates with a BSA degree are welcome to apply.
Other / Special Skills: Computer literate; Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial software and tools (e.g. Excel, ERP systems). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
