JOB SUMMARY


The Home Development Officer oversees and manages the programs and operations of the Home Development Institute, ensuring that all the team’s efforts are in line with the Foundation’s Results Framework and Monitoring and Evaluation Framework. He/she ensures effective program and project planning, as well as the necessary preparation required for these. The role also ensures that the management of programs and projects is at par with standards set by the Foundation, and is at par with compliance requirements.


The Home Development Officer also manages his/her network of partners efficiently. He/she is also capable of deploying capacity building and facilitation activity when required.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Oversees the execution of all team programs and projects, on-site or online;
  • Oversees the collection and circulation of relevant information related to team deliverables;
  • Develop learning content and design modules based on programs and projects related to Home Empowerment and Family Development, both synchronous and asynchronous;
  • Oversees the team preparations, facilitations, deployments, and documentation of all capacity-building efforts, including training, workshops, fora, meetings, and other team program activities; and in coordination with any partner institutions, if applicable;
  • Oversees all the coordination necessary for the program and project implementation of the team;
  • Conducts extensive field visits to beneficiary sites following the requirements of the team programs and projects;
  • Whenever necessary, supports or conducts training, lectures, and other capacity-building activities of the team;
  • Oversees any and all community organizing, development activities, and data gathering that are related to the team programs and projects;
  • Ensures that appropriate databases in relation to the team’s project beneficiaries are maintained and updated;
  • Ensures that relevant reports for compliance purposes and other reportorial requirements are delivered in a timely manner.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Graduate of Social Work, Community Development, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields
  • Post graduate degree in Social Science, Development Studies, or Management is preferred
  • Proven experience in development or foundation work
  • Licensed Social Worker is a plus
  • Established credentials in capacity-building, teaching, or facilitating
  • Established leadership capability in leading teams
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Fluent in English and Filipino
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and GSuite applications
  • Organized with a keen eye for details
