Description

The Property Engineer is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, equipment, and facilities. This role ensures the property remains in excellent working condition, complies with safety standards, and supports the needs of tenants or building occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure facilities are safe, functional, and compliant with building codes.
  • Coordinate with contractors and service providers for repairs, equipment servicing, and system upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any related field.
  • Registered Engineer
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience in property/facilities management, building maintenance, or engineering operations.
  • Background in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building equipment (e.g., HVAC, elevators, generators, electrical systems, plumbing).
  • Good knowledge of building systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and manuals.
  • Familiar with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good leadership skills for supervising technical staff and contractors.
  • Computer literate; proficient in MS Office and basic building management systems (BMS).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work on-site, or on shifting schedules if needed.
  • Physically fit to inspect and oversee building facilities.
