Job Overview:

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality ingredients, packaging materials, and other operational supplies necessary for the production and distribution of food and beverage products. The role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, while ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and other supplies.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to obtain the best possible deals without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, supply availability, and new products.
• Collaborate with the production, quality assurance, and warehouse teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with food safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
• Work with the finance department to manage budgets, invoices, and cost control initiatives.
• Participate in audits and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
