We are looking for a Cold Chain Industrial Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic team at Ollins. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about developing and engineering cold chain packaging solutions for temperature-sensitive products. As a key member of the team, you will work across sourcing, design, and manufacturing to develop tailored cold chain solutions, ensuring that our clients’ products are transported and stored in optimal conditions. You will play an essential part in supporting our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and quality, while driving efficiency and performance across the supply chain.

• Cold Chain Packaging Design & Development: Lead the design, engineering, and optimization of cold chain packaging systems for a range of temperature-sensitive products, including pharmaceuticals, food, and other perishable goods.
• End-to-End Solution Development: Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to develop comprehensive cold chain solutions, from initial design to final delivery and recycling, ensuring the packaging solution is cost-effective, sustainable, and meets regulatory requirements.
• Thermal Modeling & Performance Testing: Use thermal modeling software to simulate temperature conditions and optimize packaging for thermal performance. Conduct real-world testing to validate packaging under various environmental conditions.
• Material Selection & Innovation: Identify and select appropriate materials (e.g., insulation, phase change materials, gels) to meet specific cold chain needs. Explore innovative packaging solutions that align with Ollins’ commitment to sustainability and functionality.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all packaging solutions comply with relevant regulations, including GDP, cGMP, and industry-specific standards (e.g., FDA, IATA) for cold chain logistics.
• Sustainability Focus: Integrate sustainable practices into packaging solutions by selecting recyclable, reusable, or biodegradable materials, in alignment with Ollins’ focus on minimizing environmental impact.
• Project Management: Lead cold chain packaging projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and adherence to quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cold chain logistics and packaging. Introduce improvements to existing packaging systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams at Ollins, including supply chain, manufacturing, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of cold chain packaging solutions across the entire lifecycle.
