About the Role
As our E-commerce Analyst & Webmaster, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our client website. You will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of website functionality, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing actionable insights to improve user experience, drive traffic, and increase online sales. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, a technical understanding of web platforms, and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
What you’ll do
Website Monitoring & Performance:
- Continuously monitor website performance, including site speed, uptime, and functionality.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating them to the development team when necessary.
- Regularly review website analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to track key metrics such as traffic, bounce rate, conversion rates, and sales data.
E-commerce Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze website data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in the customer journey and sales funnel.
- Develop and generate regular performance reports for key stakeholders, highlighting insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and their impact on website traffic and conversions.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimize website elements and improve conversion rates.
Strategy Development & Feedback:
- Develop data-driven strategies and recommendations to enhance website performance, user experience, and online sales.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to the design, development, and marketing teams for website improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends, best practices, and technologies.
- Analyze competitor websites and identify opportunities for Steven Stone to gain a competitive edge.
General Webmaster Duties:
- Perform basic website updates and content management tasks (training provided on specific platforms).
- Ensure website content is accurate, up-to-date, and consistent with brand guidelines.
- Assist with the implementation of SEO best practices.
- Monitor website security and report any potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with external vendors for specific website-related projects.
What You Bring
- At least 3 years of proven experience in an e-commerce analyst or webmaster role, preferably within an e-commerce environment.
- Strong understanding of website analytics tools, particularly Google Analytics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento - specify if applicable).
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is an advantage.
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Based in the Philippines and able to work effectively within the team's time zone (some overlap with UK time may be required).
