Job Summary:


The IT Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the business needs and the IT solutions within an organization. This professional is responsible for analyzing the business, identifying requirements, and recommending technology solutions that align with the company's goals. The IT Business Analyst works closely with stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external vendors, to ensure that projects are delivered successfully and meet the desired outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing or working on IT projects, such as software development, system implementation, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to align IT solutions with the overall business strategy and goals.
  • Ability to think critically and challenge assumptions to identify the best solutions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and technology landscapes.


Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable business language.
  • Ability to create data flow diagrams, system flowcharts and technical documentations.
  • Can do simple customization and/or setup using a technology platform.
  • Strong understanding with software development life cycle (SDLC) and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Business Process Management (BPM) tools
  • Foundational understanding of IT concepts, such as databases, networking, and programming languages
  • Align Dynamics 365 with business processes, conduct business analysis, and design solution.
  • Drive Dynamics Finance and Operations or Business Central implementations through all projects.
  • Strong understanding of Technologies / Platforms / Solutions such as

Microsoft D365 (F&O, CRM, and SCM)

Microsoft Business Central (BC)

Microsoft Power Platform

Low Code Platform

Open-Source Software (OSS)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
  • Analyze the business to identify areas for improvement and propose IT solutions.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for IT teams.

Solution Design and Development:

  • Work with IT teams to design, develop, and implement technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are aligned with the overall business strategy and IT architecture.
  • Create functional specifications and use cases to guide development.

Project Management:

  • Assist in project planning, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in developing test plans and test cases to ensure that IT solutions meet business requirements.
  • Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions function as intended.
  • Identify and document any issues or defects, and work with IT teams to resolve them.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between business units and IT teams.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project progress and outcomes.

Change Management:

  • Support change management efforts by preparing documentation, training materials, and user guides.
  • Assist in the rollout of new systems and processes, ensuring a smooth transition for end-users.
  • Gather feedback from user’s post-implementation and recommend further enhancements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions to ensure they continue to meet business needs.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies that could benefit the organization.
