A payroll analyst is responsible for managing and processing an organization's payroll, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time. They handle payroll-related data, address discrepancies, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies. Key duties include:
Processing Payroll: Calculating and processing employee wages, bonuses, overtime, and deductions based on company policies and employee records.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is often preferred. Some positions may accept candidates with a high school diploma or associate degree combined with relevant experience.
Experience: Previous experience in payroll processing, accounting, or human resources is generally required. Experience in payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or SAP) is often preferred.
Knowledge of Payroll Laws and Regulations: Understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws, tax regulations, and employee benefits programs, ensuring payroll compliance.
Mathematical Skills: Strong ability to perform calculations related to wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits accurately.
