DFI Retail Group is seeking an experienced and proactive Network Transition Manager to lead the design, transition, and implementation of our network infrastructure across retail stores, warehouses, data centres, and Store Support Centers (SSC) in multiple countries.

This role is key to our Plan-Build-Run model, ensuring end-to-end lifecycle ownership of network delivery. The role will oversee network design and build activities, manage engineers and vendors, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure smooth service transition into operations.

The challenge is to:

•  Lead and manage the full lifecycle of network infrastructure projects under the Plan-Build-Run model:

  • Plan: Define requirements, align with stakeholders, and support strategic roadmaps.

  • Build: Drive solution design, engineering, implementation, and documentation.

  • Run: Ensure build team provides support until a successful handover to operations.

• Manage and mentor a team of network engineers

• Oversee the creation of network documentation, including runbooks, BOMs, and migration plans

• Drive end-to-end delivery of infrastructure for:

  • Smart and secure retail stores (small/medium/large format)

  • Warehouses and logistics hubs

  • Enterprise office networks and Store Support Centers (SSC)

  • Data centers and co-location environments

• Coordinate and work closely with:

  • Project Managers and PMO for planning and governance

  • Information Security (Infosec) for compliance and secure design

  • Applications Team for system-aware network design

  • Infrastructure Team for integration with compute, storage, and platform services

  • Local Country IT Teams for localized deployment and support

  • Vendors and Partners for solutioning and execution

  • Internal and External Auditors for compliance, documentation, and follow-up

• Participate in solution reviews, budget planning, and cost optimization.

• Present proposals and business cases to the Head of Infrastructure and senior stakeholders.

• Ensure the build team supports production environments until services are handed over to operations.

Do you have experience in?

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field

• 8–10 years of experience in network infrastructure, with 3+ years in a technical leadership or project delivery role

• Proven experience in the design and build of retail stores, warehouses, enterprise networks, and data centres

• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet and Huawei technologies

• Strong knowledge of network security segmentation, zero trust network architecture, and Network Admission Control solutions (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass)

• Expertise in LAN/WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and hybrid/cloud connectivity

• Strong coordination skills across multiple internal and external stakeholders

• Experience supporting internal and external audits and compliance requirements

• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills

• Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCDP + other Network Security credentials)

Nice-to-Have:

• Relevant certifications (CCIE, CISSP, PMP etc.)

• Retail industry or large distributed enterprise background

• Familiarity with smart retail, IoT, and edge infrastructure

• Understanding of ITIL, service transition, and operational governance
