Our Business Unit looking for a Data Supply Management specialist to join our existing data Supply Management team. The successful candidate will be working across two foundational data domains in support of providing EMEA coverage to ensure the most current, complete, and accurate data possible across the business unit foundational datasets Flights and Schedules. The focus of this role will be centered around Data Supply Management, however additional training will be provided around Airline Waiver Data Entry to support our current global coverage and processing for Waivers as a Dataset as/when there are additional business requirements.


Supply Management is foundational to our data acquisition, allowing business unit to maintain consistent, current and accurate data across multiple datasets. Rectifying any issues as soon as they occur and escalating to senior stakeholders as required. Using our in-house CRM system to manage EMEA supply against delivery schedules will ensure our data remains as accurate as possible. Managing supply received, ongoing engagement with contacts and making the relevant updates so all users up and down our supply chain have the most up to date data. A successful candidate will stay abreast with current industry trends and aviation news outlet updates as they relate to data providers within the EMEA region. This role requires collaboration between our Schedules Processing team and Flights Data Acquisition engineering squads for the onboarding and technical integration of business unit flights and schedules data providers into business unit's databases.


Airline Waivers are designed to help pro-active re-booking, re-accommodating, and refunding of passengers during widespread travel disruption. The currency and accuracy of Waivers to our clients is essential to benefit their client’s user experience. The role requires sourcing data directly from Airlines, interpreting indirect data supply, proactively sourcing new data and interpreting the language used. As the data is transactional, it requires an attention to detail, context and the validity of waivers against our use cases, while managing the data in our in-house content management systems with little latency.

Training and support will be provided to the successful candidate with a focus on Supply Management role as primary area of responsibility. The successful candidate will also be provided with access to the necessary processes and tools for Airline Waiver data processing as secondary role to support the existing Waivers team, to scale up or down as needs shift or are required by the business.


Job Qualifications/Skills:

Soft/Analytical:

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and deductive reasoning skills
  • Strong sense of ownership of tasks and capable of making independent data-driven decision with autonomy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented and a strong problem solver
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, engaging others, building relationships
  • Ideally, some prior experience with supplier interaction, customers, sales, or vendors
  • Excellent communication skills, both digitally and verbally
  • Comfortable speaking externally to data suppliers daily via email or over MS teams calls
  • Excellent English with knowledge of language(s) preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Follower of best practice and governance and adherence of self to all relevant policies and procedures

Technical:

  • Strong MS Office and Excel skills and Outlook preferred
  • Proficient working knowledge of Jira-based workflows
  • Experience in setting up and attending local/global MS teams calls
  • Experience in database navigation, with technical management as a plus
  • Knowledge of coding languages such as SQL, Python, R or experience with scraping technologies or manual process a plus
  • Knowledge or working experience with data visualization such as PowerBI or Tableau is a plus
  • Previous CRM use
  • Prior working experience with Development/Engineering teams.


Prior Experience/Background:


  • Must have at least 2-3 years’ of working experience in the similar capacity, a background in data collection/analytics, market analysis, market surveys, and the like advantageous
  • Previous experience in vendor, supplier, client management, sales or marketing is a plus
  • Prior experience in aviation is a plus.


Job Responsibilities:

Supply Management (Flights and Schedules):


  • Oversee Airline data supply across EMEA regions for flights and schedules data providers
  • Managing existing supply and ensuring deliveries are received against normal expectancies
  • Alert delinquent suppliers within agreed internal SLA’s
  • Onboard new data supply from Partnerships team directly from Airline Suppliers for Flights and Schedules within the EMEA regions
  • Assist data supplier in data format change and/or transmission requests
  • Manage and record supply activity proactively and accurately using in-house Supply CRM
  • Assist/Create metrics and reporting on activity using internal CRM & tools
  • Keep up to date on latest industry news relevant to your assigned EMEA regions and wider industry
  • Assist airline suppliers with IATA application process
  • Ensure high accuracy, currency and consistency across datasets
  • Escalating issues to Partnerships and Senior leaders as required
  • Troubleshooting data filing issues with suppliers (both in email and via MS teams calls) to seek resolution
  • Triage and remediate all Data quality or processing issues across flights and schedules datasets in line with internal SLA's
  • Implement data improvements as directed and identify workflow, tool, and reporting improvements as experience grows
  • Address any Customer Support requests as they relate to flights or schedules needs or questions for EMEA regions.


Airline Waivers Data Entry:

  • Monitoring Waivers data supply to maintain currency and coverage
  • Processing waivers within agreed internal SLA’s
  • Identifying new Waivers issued, new suppliers or new Airlines issuing Waivers
  • Working closely with Product Managers on focus areas and remediation activities
  • Address any Customer Support requests as they relate to Waivers Entry needs or questions
