About the Organization

The Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) is a non-profit organization based in the Philippines, dedicated to making governance a shared responsibility. ISA collaborates with national agencies and local governments to promote good governance and citizenship through strategic thinking.


About the Role

As the Senior Finance Officer, you will oversee the organization's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with government regulations, and efficient disbursement management. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing legal financial documents and supporting the Finance and Accounting Manager in strategic financial initiatives.


Job Description

FINANCIAL REPORTING

  • Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze financial data and trends, providing actionable insights to the Finance and Accounting Manager.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings.


DISBURSEMENT MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee and approve disbursements, including voucher and check preparation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing for suppliers, consultants, and venues.
  • Manage payroll processing in collaboration with the Human Resource Coordinator.


COMPLIANCE AND GOVERNMENT FILLINGS

  • Prepare and submit government-mandated reports (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and government regulations.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to regulatory compliance.


COLLABORATION WITH FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING MANAGER

  • Assist in the development of financial strategies, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Provide regular updates and financial insights to the Finance and Accounting Manager.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of financial policies in daily operations and suggest amendments to improve efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management or any related course
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the Accounting and Finance field.
  • Experienced in handling and safekeeping confidential and sensitive information
  • Preferably with knowledge in Xero Accounting and Google Workspace
